Summary

Nightshift has no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. It does not collect personal information or send your browsing history, website list, or preferences to Fly Media LLC or any third party.

Why Nightshift requests website access

Safari extensions need permission to read and modify webpages before they can change those pages’ appearance. Nightshift uses this access only to add its visual dark-mode styling to ordinary HTTP and HTTPS webpages and to update that styling when your selected mode changes.

Safari controls this permission. You may limit or revoke it at any time in Safari → Settings → Extensions → Nightshift. Safari’s internal pages and other protected browser pages remain unavailable to extensions.

Information stored on your Mac

• Your selected appearance mode: Always Light, Always Dark, or System
• The domain names of websites where you have turned Nightshift off

Those settings are kept in Safari’s local extension storage. They are used only to decide whether Nightshift should style the page currently open in Safari. They are not transmitted to us, used for analytics, or shared with anyone.

The companion app

The Nightshift macOS app explains how to enable the Safari extension and can open Safari’s extension settings. It makes no network requests and collects no information.

What we do not collect

• No account, login, personal identifiers, or contact information
• No webpages, browsing history, search terms, or page contents
• No analytics, diagnostics, crash reporting, or advertising identifiers
• No tracking across apps or websites

Because the app sends us no information, there is no Nightshift user data for us to sell, share, retain, disclose, export, or delete. Removing the extension removes its locally stored settings through Safari and macOS.

This website

This site is a static set of pages. It sets no cookies, runs no third-party trackers, and asks for no personal information. Our hosting provider processes standard request metadata, such as an IP address, transiently in order to serve and secure the pages.

Changes

We may update this policy when the product changes. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do, and this page remains the authoritative version linked from the App Store listing.
